Immortal Songs winds back the clock with Park Nam-jeong and Chae Yeon

The group Noizegarden, now in their 35th year since debut, presents the prototype of 90s idols. Member Hong Jong-gu revealed that they were the 'original self-producing group,' as he handled all the songwriting, composing, and choreography within the team. He also shared a behind-the-scenes story that because there were no separate stylists at the time, he volunteered to act as the coordinator by preparing the costumes himself.

A Pleasant Rivalry Between Noizegarden and R.ef

In this special, Noizegarden chose to remake R.ef's representative song 'Farewell Formula.' This creates a dynamic mirroring how R.ef previously reinterpreted Noizegarden's 'You in My Imagination.' When Hong Jong-gu showed confidence, stating, "We prepared it to be exciting and fun without damaging the original song," R.ef's Lee Seong-uk teased him playfully, saying, "The song selection itself is damage to the original song," bringing laughter to the scene.

'Moon-buki' Recreates the Voice of the Late Turtleman

The stage by 'Moon-buki'—a unit formed by Turtles' Geum_B and Lee Zi Yi along with comedian Moon Se-yoon—also drew significant attention. They selected 'Woman on the Beach' by the co-ed group Cool. As Moon Se-yoon showcased a voice and English rap reminiscent of the late Turtleman, Geum_B and Lee Zi Yi confessed, "The introductory English rap was so similar to Turtleman oppa that it made our hearts ache."

Episodes from the stage preparation process followed. Lee Zi Yi gave Moon Se-yoon a thumbs up, calling him "a charming person who is good at everything from vocals and dancing to hosting." In response, Geum_B exposed him, saying, "He is good at everything, but he can't practice for long periods," to which Moon Se-yoon slyly retorted, "Chubby people can't practice many times a day."

Having watched the previous stage, Shin Hyo-bum remarked after hearing the trio's harmony, "I felt as if I were looking at Turtleman."

Park Nam-jeong's Declaration of War and Chae Yeon's Role as the Youngest

Park Nam-jeong, a symbol of X-generation dance music, and Hyun Jin Young also take the stage. Park Nam-jeong expressed strong confidence, saying, "I will show you my image from my heyday."

Chae Yeon, who debuted in 2003, volunteered to take on the role of the youngest in this special. When Moon Se-yoon introduced himself as being four months her senior, Chae Yeon expressed satisfaction, stating she is still the youngest.

As the performances by the legends continued, the atmosphere in the waiting area heated up. Chae Yeon was seen repeatedly standing up while watching her seniors' stages, and Moon Se-yoon showed nervousness among the seniors displaying perfect skills.
