The 765th episode of KBS2's 'Immortal Songs,' airing on July 18, features the first part of the '2026 King of Kings' special. During this broadcast, Park Seo-jin drew attention by appearing with fuller cheeks than before.

Park Seo-jin confessed to the yo-yo effect, stating, "I was dieting hard, but then I fell into cheating. I gained 11kg in just five months." Having previously revealed that he invested 100 million won in plastic surgery, his comments about this weight change drew laughter from the set.

The real highlight, however, was his realistic motivation for winning. Park Seo-jin revealed his extraordinary determination for this stage, saying, "The company director promised to give me a vacation for procedures and recovery if I win the King of Kings."

'Last Night's Story' Performance Featuring Ice Nanta

After sharing his visual concerns, Park Seo-jin flipped the mood with an overwhelming stage performance.

His song choice was Sobangcha's "Last Night's Story." Having previously secured a ticket to the King of Kings with his 'Bulbuk' performance, Park Seo-jin teased, "I have prepared a performance unlike anything ever seen on 'Immortal Songs.'"

The core of the stage was the 'Ice Nanta Performance.' By adding a refreshing ice nanta element to his signature exciting janggu rhythms, the performance left a powerful impression on the audience.

Reactions from fellow singers followed. Forestella's KO WOORIM commented after watching Park Seo-jin's stage, "It felt like watching something in 4D." Singer Young Tak, observing Park Seo-jin's stage manners, mentioned, "Watching Park Seo-jin play the janggu felt like looking at Ateez's Choi San's jawline, which is a hot topic these days."

10 Teams Clash in the King of Kings

A total of 10 teams will take the stage to compete in Part 1 of this '2026 King of Kings.'

The lineup includes Park Seo-jin, Lyn X Jo Jazz, Min Woo-hyuk X Cho Hyung-gyun X Yuria, K.Will, Kim Dong-jun X Young Tak, B1A4, Forestella, Hwang Min Ho X Soo Yeon Lee, Libelante, and Nexz.
