Young K shouts 'Clear!' and turns Kkondaehee into comeback laughs

DAY6's Young K greeted fans with an unvarnished appearance ahead of the release of his 2nd full-length album.

In a video released on the YouTube channel 'Kkondaehee' on the 25th, Young K met with comedian Kim Daehee and engaged in a conversation for approximately 25 minutes. During this appearance, Young K introduced the title track 'Shut The Door' and expressed his determination for his comeback.

During the conversation, Young K created a playful atmosphere by revealing that he had undergone laser hair removal. When Kim Daehee complimented Young K's skin condition and asked his age, Young K replied, "I am thirty-four." While continuing the discussion about laser hair removal, Young K revealed that he had undergone laser hair removal on his entire face, and suddenly shouted "Clear!" while proving his hairless armpits, leaving the scene in fits of laughter.

2nd Full-Length Album 'YOUNGEST' after 2 years and 10 months

This comeback comes approximately 2 years and 10 months after Young K presented his 1st solo full-length album 'Letters with Note' in September 2023.

The 2nd full-length album 'YOUNGEST', to be released on the 27th, was inspired by the English expression meaning "the most ~." As the album title suggests, it is an autobiographical album containing the most "Young K-esque" music and sincere stories. A total of 15 songs are included in this album, and Young K played a central role in the creative process by directly participating in the lyrics and composition of all tracks.

Young K is a key figure in establishing DAY6's musical color, having personally created the team's representative songs such as 'You Were Beautiful', 'Can Be a Page', and 'Welcome to the Show'. Furthermore, he continues to demonstrate his capabilities as a lyricist by participating in song projects for H1-KEY's 'Rose Blooming Between Buildings', as well as Nmixx, Eric Nam, GOT7, ZB1, and Ha Hyunsang.
