Blackpink reunites at Seoul museum for a 40-fan anniversary meet
Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa will attend Blackpink's 10th anniversary Meet & Greet at the National Museum of Korea on August 8.
The group Blackpink (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) will meet fans in person to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
YG Entertainment announced that all four members of Blackpink will attend the fan event 'Meet & Greet' held at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on August 8. This event is the result of coordinating schedules to prioritize meeting fans despite the members' individual schedules.
Previously, some fans expressed concerns that a full group appearance might be difficult due to the members' overseas schedules, but the agency silenced rumors of absence by finalizing the attendance of all members. In particular, Rosé's side, whose U.S. schedule had been confirmed, stated that they coordinated their schedule by placing the meeting with fans as the top priority.
All 4 Blackpink Members Confirmed to Attend
The number of participants for the 10th-anniversary commemorative event is limited to 40 people randomly selected from Blackpink membership subscribers. Considering the scale of the global fandom 'BLINK,' which has been together for 10 years since their debut on August 8, 2016, this is a very small number.
The venue, the National Museum of Korea, is a place with a deep connection to Blackpink. Blackpink collaborated with the national museum's merchandise brand 'MUZ' to present the 'Blackpink Heritage Collection,' and they also carried out the 'National Museum of Korea X Blackpink' project during their activities for their 3rd mini-album 'DEADLINE' this past February.
This marks the first time Blackpink will meet fans in Korea in approximately 1 year and 1 month since their world tour 'DEADLINE' performance held in Goyang last July. YG Entertainment plans to provide individual guidance regarding the details of this National Museum of Korea fan event to the attendees.
Limited to 40 People... A Meeting at the National Museum of Korea
Blackpink, who debuted on August 8, 2016, grew by releasing hit songs such as 'Whistle,' 'Playing with Fire,' 'DDU-DU DDU-DU,' 'Pink Venom,' 'Shutdown,' and 'JUMP.' Their 2nd album 'BORN PINK,' released in 2022, took the number one spot on both the US Billboard 200 and the UK Official Albums Chart 'Top 100.'
In 2024, Blackpink signed an extension contract with YG Entertainment for group activities. Individual activities are being carried out through their respective agencies.
