Jennie's 'Dracula' remix rides TikTok into Hot 100's top 5
BLACKPINK's Jennie hits a solo-best No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 with Tame Impala's 'Dracula (Remix)' after TikTok and US radio gains.
A TikTok challenge craze has triggered a response from US radio networks, placing Jennie's solo music at the center of the American mainstream.

Reaching No. 5 on Billboard Hot 100, Reaching a Solo Career Peak
BLACKPINK's Jennie has once again proven her solo power in the US market. 'Dracula (Remix)', a collaboration between Jennie and Australian producer Tame Impala, reached No. 5 on the US Billboard main singles chart, the 'Hot 100'. This achievement, based on the July 18 chart released on the 14th (Korean time), marks a three-step jump from last week's No. 8 and stands as the highest ranking in Jennie's solo career.
This success is the result of new and old media converging. The remix version, in which Jennie participated in songwriting and composing, gained an explosive response as the lyric "My friends are saying, 'Shut up, Jennie, just get in the car'" spread through a 'virtual driving roleplay' challenge on TikTok. This momentum led to the track entering No. 8 on the Spotify Global Daily chart and accumulating 400 million streams.
From TikTok Challenges to US Radio Mainstream
The online fever reached its peak through US radio networks. 'Dracula' recorded a radio audience reach of 59.6 million and held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 'Pop Airplay' chart for two consecutive weeks. The fandom power built through TikTok led to acceptance by mainstream US radio, effectively pushing the chart position into the top 5.
Her musical achievements are also unparalleled. 'Dracula' has held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 'Hot Dance/Electronic Song' chart for 27 consecutive weeks and has maintained its position at the top of the 'Hot Rock & Alternative Song' chart for 9 consecutive weeks.
A Remix Infusing Jennie's Color into Tame Impala's Original
Originally, 'Dracula' was a solo track released by Tame Impala in September last year. While it failed to enter the Billboard charts at that time, the landscape changed when the remix version, featuring Jennie's vocals and rap, was released on February 6 this year. Notably, Jennie participated not only in singing but also in composing and songwriting. As her musical contribution has been recognized, both Tame Impala and Jennie have been credited jointly on the charts since last month.
Jennie has steadily built her career, entering the charts with 'One of the Girls' (No. 51) in 2023, followed by 'Mantra' (No. 98), 'Love Hangover' (No. 96), 'Trael' (No. 75), 'Like Jennie' (No. 83), and 'Handlebar' (No. 80). This No. 5 record is the second-highest achievement by a BLACKPINK member, following ROSÉ's No. 3 record achieved through her collaboration with Bruno Mars.
Meanwhile, Ella Langley's 'Choosin' Texas' took the No. 1 spot on this week's Billboard 'Hot 100'. Ella Langley made history by becoming the first female solo artist to hold the No. 1 spot with a country song for over 13 weeks.
