AEN's school-uniform concept photos hide clues to their debut world
Starship Entertainment's new boy group AEN reveals 'Everywhere' concept photos before '[A NEW ERA OF NOW]' arrives in Korea and Japan on August 5.
Youthful daily life captured through school uniform styling
Global boy group AEN has released concept photos capturing the everyday lives of youth ahead of their debut.
On the 27th, AEN showcased the 'Everywhere' version concept photos for their debut mini album '[A NEW ERA OF NOW]' through their official SNS channels. While the previously released 'Always' version focused on the theme of promises made to fans, this 'Everywhere' version depicts a composition where ordinary daily life meets another self, based on the message that the members exist everywhere. Wearing school uniform styling matched with shirts and ties, the members revealed an unadorned boyish charm.
Clues to the worldview connected by notes and watches
Props hinting at the group's worldview are placed throughout the concept photos. Ko Ji-yong staged a scene pulling out a note hidden inside a book, while KYUHYUN visualized the connected story between members by placing a note on top of a piano. Yuk Jun-seo also appeared to have hidden a note inside cleaning tools.
Jung Bo-Min utilized a badge with the phrase 'We will do anything together,' and Harua created an atmosphere by taking out snacks engraved with the AEN logo from a locker. Kaira depicted a scene of communicating with an invisible opponent through a setting where a soccer ball and shoes are used like a walkie-talkie. All members wore watches of the same design in different colors.
7-member AEN formed through Starship project
AEN was formed through Starship Entertainment's global project 'Debut's Plan'. Ko Ji-yong, Jung Bo-Min, KYUHYUN, Harua, Yuk Jun-seo, and Kaira are joined by Japanese member Haruto to complete the 7-member lineup. The team name AEN carries the meaning of 'a new era that redefines this moment,' while also holding a double meaning of 'eternity (永遠)' in Japanese.
AEN will simultaneously release their debut mini album '[A NEW ERA OF NOW]' in both Korea and Japan on August 5th. The title track is 'X to Z'.
