Idid lights up Cheonggye Plaza in a surprise ‘Attent!on Area’

The 7-member boy group IDID met with fans in the heart of downtown Seoul. On July 18, IDID (Jang Yong-hun, Kim Min-jae, Park Won-bin, Chu Yu-chan, Park Seong-hyeon, Baek Jun-hyeok, Jeong Se-min) held a surprise guerrilla performance titled 'Attent!on Area' at Cheonggye Plaza in Seoul, radiating a summer vibe.

This performance was planned by IDID to communicate with fans at a closer distance. Starting two days before the show, they released teasing content to build anticipation, creating an event where fans had to deduce the date and location themselves. At the scene, not only the fans gathered to see IDID but also passing citizens stopped in their tracks to watch the stage.

From 'Attent!on' to 'SLOW TIDE': A Refreshing Sequence of Stages

The performance began with 'Attent!on,' a track that showcases both boyish charm and confidence. IDID opened the stage by capturing the audience's attention from the very first song. The members shared a pleasant conversation with fans, greeting them by saying, “Thank you for joining us on this precious weekend,” and explaining the meaning behind the performance title, 'Attent!on Area.'

This was followed by a performance of 'SLOW TIDE,' a track from their first mini album '[I did it.]'. The song's unique sweet sensibility and fresh mood ripened the atmosphere on-site. The members drew laughter from the crowd with their witty banter and even held an event to select an MVP who captured the fans' hearts. During the show, photo times and a group photo session were arranged to share special moments with the fans.

A Midsummer Night's Festival Completed with 'FLY!' and an Encore

In the latter half of the performance, 'FLY!', a song containing IDID's ambitions, resonated through the air. The cool energy that made one forget the sweltering heat blended with the members' live vocals and refreshing performance. At the scene, fans' cheers and sing-alongs erupted, transforming Cheonggye Plaza into a festival site. They concluded the entire schedule by performing their popular single 'PUSH BACK' as the final encore.

After finishing the performance, IDID shared their thoughts, saying, “Thank you for being part of this midsummer night's dream, 'Attent!on Area.' Please continue to show a lot of interest and love for IDID and 'Attent!on.'”

IDID is a group formed through Starship Entertainment's global project 'Debut’s Plan.' With their debut album '[I did it.]' released last September, they recorded 441,524 copies in first-week album sales and took first place on a music broadcast just 12 days after their debut. Having recently successfully completed promotions for their new single 'FLY!' released on May 27, IDID plans to continue meeting global fans through various content in the future.
