Lee Taemin's Coachella director joins Mnet's Street World Fighter

Mnet's 'Street World Fighter: Director's War' (hereafter 'SDPA'), which has confirmed its first broadcast for the 18th at 10 p.m., is a survival program where choreographers compete as 'directors' who design entire stages.

A total of 10 choreographers are participating this season. Nine, Bada, Back Koo Young, Shimizu, and In-gyu, who made names for themselves through 'Street Woman Fighter' and 'Street Man Fighter,' will serve as the established core. Joining them are five new faces who have been active on the global stage—Renan, Baby Joo, Min Jun-Jung, Casper, and Hash—completing the lineup.

A Splendid Career from Taemin's Coachella Direction to Aespa's Choreography

The resumes of the newly joined new faces pierce through the core of the K-POP stage. Casper became the first domestic choreographer to take charge of the entire stage direction for '2026 Taemin Coachella (Coachella).' Renan was in charge of Aespa's 'Armageddon' work and the choreography for the 2024 MAMA AWARDS 'Whiplash' stage.

Baby Joo performed choreography and directing for Blackpink's 'Sour Candy' stage, and Min Jun-Jung is a defending champion who achieved the first Korean win and a consecutive two-year victory with the 'Caravan' stage in the 2026 season of the American 'VIBE Competition.' Hash enters this survival show as a performance powerhouse.

"From Coachella to the Super Bowl" The Directors' Goals

Through this survival show, the participants revealed the artists and stages they dream of. Renan expressed desires to work with Jennie and ALLDAY PROJECT, as well as stage directing for TVXQ. Hash expressed a desire to work with KATSEYE, while Min Jun-Jung sent a love call toward Justin Bieber.

They also revealed their ambitions for the global stage. Casper aims to contribute to the Super Bowl Halftime Show stage, and Baby Joo cited her ultimate goal as standing on the Coachella stage with the artists she directed.

'SDPA' will air its first episode simultaneously on Mnet and tvN on Tuesday the 18th at 10 p.m. It can also be viewed through TVING and Mnet Plus.
