Singer Miss Kim stepped up as an "assistant village head" to promote the charms of Doyo Village in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do.

In the episode of KBS1's '6 O'clock My Hometown' aired on the 7th, Miss Kim visited Doyo Village located in Saengnim-myeon, Gimhae-si. In Doyo Village, known as a clan village for the Baek family from Suwon, Miss Kim began her exploration by visiting the memorial shrine of the Baek clan founder to hear the village's history.

Following this, Miss Kim walked the 'Doyo Bird Trail' where the scenery of the Nakdong River unfolds. On the path, Miss Kim livened up the atmosphere by singing 'Virgin Boatwoman' on the spot. Throughout the village, landscapes preserving the passage of time, such as plane trees and pine trees serving as the village's 2nd generation guardian trees, continued to appear.

Amazed by the Taste of 'Doyo Potatoes' Cultivated by 99% of Residents

After exploring the village, the protagonist Miss Kim encountered in Doyo Village was the 'Doyo Potato.' These potatoes, cultivated by more than 99% of the village residents, grow in sandy soil with good drainage, making them characterized by a fluffy texture and strong sweetness.

After tasting freshly steamed potatoes, Miss Kim praised the flavor in Gyeongsang-do dialect, saying, "Doyo potatoes are amazing!" She continued, "The potatoes are fluffy and crunchy, and the sweetness they possess is so good." In particular, while eating the specialty potato bread, she brought laughter to the villagers by cracking witty jokes.

Miss Kim participated in the village's farmstay program, experiencing the generosity of rural life while nourishing herself with duck baeksuk (boiled duck). The farmstay is operated as a program that combines farm stays with various rural experiences.
