Variety legend Lee Kyung-kyu has received a special, one-of-a-kind piece of clothing. Lee Kyung-kyu, who joined KBS 2TV's 'Boss in the Mirror' as a new boss, reacted with his signature outburst upon seeing a limited edition t-shirt crafted by designer Ko Tae-yong.
The gift prepared by Ko Tae-yong is a custom t-shirt based on his mega-hit item design, 'Gaeti.' Featuring a patch inspired by pet dogs, the t-shirt was produced as a single piece in the entire world to reflect the identity of Lee Kyung-kyu, who is well known as a dog lover.
While Lee Kyung-kyu expressed satisfaction upon receiving the t-shirt, the situation shifted instantly when Park Myung-soo, standing nearby, tried to touch the garment out of curiosity. Lee Kyung-kyu shouted firmly, "Don't touch it! It's mine!" to claim ownership, turning the studio into a sea of laughter as he carefully folded and tucked away his precious new shirt.

This meeting served as a moment that showcased the mutual respect between the designer and the entertainer. Ko Tae-yong, a designer who has experienced the world's three major fashion weeks in New York, Paris, and Milan, expressed his sincere admiration for Lee Kyung-kyu as soon as he entered the studio.
"Lee Kyung-kyu sunbaenim has been my muse since I was young," Ko Tae-yong said. He revealed that he drew design inspiration while watching the sharp wit and leadership Lee Kyung-kyu displays in the entertainment industry. For Ko Tae-yong, who is familiar to the public through his pet-graphic t-shirt 'Gaeti,' Lee Kyung-kyu is a source of artistic inspiration.
Ko Tae-yong and Jeong-hyeok's impromptu fashion show in Dongmyo alleys
Following the studio meeting, Ko Tae-yong visited Dongmyo in Seoul with model Jeong-hyeok. The two navigated the alleys of Dongmyo, a mecca for vintage fashion, to test their respective tastes. Jeong-hyeok picked out a 1,000 won shirt, while Ko Tae-yong discovered a luxury coat in the same area.
The pair even held an impromptu fashion show on the spot. Showcasing their own styles using Dongmyo's vintage items, the two captured the uniquely free-spirited vibe of the Dongmyo district.
'Boss in the Mirror,' which has held the number one spot in its time slot for 213 consecutive weeks, enters a new phase with Lee Kyung-kyu joining as a new boss. The episode will air on July 12 at 4:40 PM.
