VIXX's Hyeok brings self-written songs to a summer reunion with fans

A Summer Night Reunion at Sungshin Women's University

Hyuk (real name Han Sang-hyuk) of the group VIXX sat down with fans once again following his military discharge. On the 11th, Han Sang-hyuk held his fan-meeting, '2026 HYUK FAN MEETING ‘Some-mer Wave’', at the Unjeong Green Campus Grand Auditorium of Sungshin Women's University.

The performance opened with 'Way To You'. After finishing the refreshing opening, Han Sang-hyuk expressed his excitement toward the fans he met after a long wait, saying, "Let's make special summer memories together."

Spanning approximately two hours, this fan-meeting focused on close communication with fans. Interactive segments such as 'Let's SOME! Unison', 'Bingo Wave', and 'SOME-Situation' followed, along with programs like 'Ten-Ten Photo Time', 'Ending Fairy Hyuk-i', and 'Love Serenade'. Notably, during the 'Post-it Q&A' session, he shared his recent news and daily life by directly answering fans' questions.

From Self-Composed Songs to Michael Jackson Covers

Hyuk's diverse musical facets were revealed on stage. After performing a remake of Kim Kwang-seok's 'Around Thirty', he proceeded to sing his self-composed songs in succession, including 'If Only', 'I Will Hug You', 'I Hope Your Night Is Not Painful', and 'Stay For Me'.

There were also performance stages that shifted the atmosphere. Showing an intense side by covering Michael Jackson's 'Dangerous', Hyuk also tackled Hanroro's '0+0' and Justin Bieber's 'Lifetime'. After the concert ended, he expressed his gratitude through a 'Hi-Bye Event' where he greeted fans directly.

In his closing remarks, Han Sang-hyuk said, "Spending time in the same space as fans after such a long time brought many thoughts rushing through my mind. I had worries during the preparation process, but today's moment feels like a great gift to me and will be a huge driving force for me to move forward."

He added, "I am sincerely grateful to Byeolbit (Starlight) for coming out despite the hot and humid weather. I will continue to work hard to be an artist you can be proud of."
