KBS has selected singer Lee Seung-chul as the protagonist for this year's Chuseok holiday special. The live performance footage from 'Your Life is a Never Ending Story—Lee Seung-chul,' held at the Inspire Arena on August 1, will be broadcast on KBS2 during the Chuseok holiday period.
This special captures the musical journey of Lee Seung-chul, who is celebrating his 40th debut anniversary. Taking his signature song 'Never Ending Story' as the main concept, the concert will unfold a narrative ranging from the fluttering excitement of first love to the comforts of life through live performances.
KBS Holiday Grand Project Lineup Following Cho Yong Pil
KBS has branded its holiday special programs by featuring singers who enjoy national love every holiday season. Starting with Na Hoon-A in 2020, the lineup has included Sim Soo Bong, Lim Young-woong, Song Hae, Song Ga-in, Songolmae, god, Kim Yeon Ja, Jinsung, J.Y. Park “The Asiansoul”, and most recently, Cho Yong Pil last year.
In particular, last year's Cho Yong Pil special created a massive sensation by capturing his first solo stage in 28 years, marking 57 years since his debut. At the time, the Cho Yong Pil special consisted of a three-part original broadcast and proved its overwhelming buzz by recording a peak viewership rating of 18.2% based on households nationwide.

The protagonist of this special, Lee Seung-chul, is a veteran who has proven his live performance skills through nationwide tours for decades. As he possesses hits that span all generations, such as 'Girls' Generation,' 'Hee-ya,' and 'Don't Say Goodbye,' he plans to target the holiday viewership with his magnificent sound and vocal prowess during this broadcast.
