A full album after 2 years, 'Effort that turned coincidence into inevitability'

The three-member band wave to earth has returned with their 2nd full album, 'bad pieces', approximately two years after their previous full-length work. This new release, unveiled through various online music release sites on the 7th, is their first full-length project since the EP 'play with earth! 0.03' released in 2024.

Wave to Earth releases 2nd full-length album 'bad pieces'

Moving beyond their existing lo-fi jazz-based sound, this album actively experiments with new instruments and diverse sounds. The album title 'bad pieces' was inspired by the 'Bed Peace' protest shown by John Lennon and Yoko Ono in 1969. The album consists of a total of 11 tracks, including the double title tracks 'Courage' and 'Hyang'. The music video for the title track 'Courage' modernizes the message of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, capturing various moments of courage encountered by the characters within the space of a bed.

Frontman and producer Kim Daniel shared his thoughts on the work via SNS. He expressed his feelings about presenting the result after a long period of work, stating, "An album that feels like I used up all 0.2 of my brain capacity is finally out." He continued, "While it is said that many things come from coincidence, it is actually an inevitability created by the effort to produce that coincidence," explaining that he gathered and wove together 'pieces of coincidence' with the members. He also showed affection for his colleagues, saying, "Making music with friends who know how to work hard alongside their talent is truly like a miracle."

Hosting 'The Fishes Tour' with 30 shows, including 21 cities in North America

Along with the release of the new album, wave to earth is embarking on full-scale global activities. Starting this September, they will hold the world tour 'The Fishes Tour'. This tour will consist of a total of 30 shows, including 21 cities in North America, 8 cities in Asia, and a performance in Seoul.

Kim Daniel began his musical activities in 2017 with The Poles, presenting rock-based music. Since debuting in 2019, he has built the team's sound alongside Dong Q and John Cha, and continues to pursue a wide musical path, including participating in the production of tracks for Yesung's albums.
