Edward Kwon grabs a wok as hardened corn cheese stalls Imone Kitchen
On tvN's Street Restaurant Fighter, Edward Kwon fixes a corn cheese crisis for Imone Kitchen during a 100-serving relay battle.
In the August 9 broadcast of tvN's 'Street Restaurant Fighter,' a third-round relay team battle was held with the goal of selling out 100 servings.

The alliance team 'Imone Kitchen,' formed by Kim Mi-ryeong, Edward Kwon, and Lee Jun-seong (also known as Lee Do-gyeong), took on the first half mission, but a problem arose immediately after business began. The corn cheese used in Kim Mi-ryeong's menu items, Spring Vegetable Jeyuk Gimbap and the Rose Grill Platter, had hardened so much that it was difficult to serve to customers. Lee Jun-seong expressed his embarrassment, stating, "We made a lot of corn cheese in advance, but it was all hardened."
Edward Kwon immediately used a wok to adjust the cheese consistency. When the cheese did not melt sufficiently, he chose a secondary plan: adjusting the amount of cheese, adding more corn, and then placing cheese on top just before serving the customers. Regarding his mindset at the time, Edward Kwon stated, "We are a team after all. As a senior in the industry, I thought it was right to embrace the situation," adding, "I thought it would be right to quickly establish a system."
In response, Kim Mi-ryeong highly praised Edward Kwon's problem-solving skills, saying, "He was so cool. As expected, he is indeed the best." Lee Jun-seong also expressed his gratitude, noting, "We needed someone to lead us, and that person was Edward Kwon."
Penalty incurred due to delayed frying
The team formed by Kim Kwan-hoon, Kim Ho-yun, Shin Jong-hoon, and Jeong Chan-hee composed their menu with fried flower bouquets and Tteok-gangjeong.
Orders continued to come in, but a situation arose where the speed of frying could not keep up. Kim Ho-yun shared, "The frying speed took quite a bit longer than expected, so I started to feel anxious." Shin Jong-hoon focused on processing orders while insisting on his own cooking method to maintain quality. Ultimately, Jeong Chan-hee joined the team to handle the backlog of orders.
In this process, two-star ratings occurred twice, resulting in two additional penalty dishes. Kim Kwan-hoon managed the situation by moving around the tables and teaching how to easily remove the fried items.
