XLOV hits 220,000 sales as crop tops lead Asia tour kickoff

XLOV’s 2nd mini album passes 220,000 first-week sales as Wumuti, Luisa, Harua and Hyun launch an Asia tour in Seoul.

Idol group XLOV has surpassed 220,000 copies in sales for their recently released 2nd mini album within just one week of its release. Currently in their 18th month since debut, XLOV is promoting with a genderless concept, featuring crop top styling and glamorous makeup.

XLOV, the K-pop Group Pioneering a Genderless Concept

Having completed their European tour and North American fan meetings, XLOV recently announced the start of their Asia tour. At the first concert of the Asia tour held on July 18th at Blue Square in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, they held a stage to communicate with their fandom, 'EVOL'.

Communicating with Fans at the First Asia Tour Performance

During the performance, fans shared their opinions regarding social stereotypes. When one fan expressed dissatisfaction with social gender roles, the members replied, "EVOL, just do what you want to do." Furthermore, in response to questions about marriage, they answered, "Marriage is merely a choice."

The stage performance included choreography that mixed voguing, twerking, and fluid movements. Depending on the mood of the songs, they showcased styling such as wearing skirts or using wigs to create long hair. The concept photos for XLOV's 2nd mini album, consisting of members Hyun, Luisa, Wumuti, and Harua, were released through their official website.

Leader Wumuti Shares Philosophy via YouTube

The group's leader and producer, Wumuti, appeared on a YouTube channel. He mentioned the questions he had regarding gender distinctions during his childhood to Jaurim vocalist Yuna Kim and shared his thoughts on the group's direction.
