Warfare brings a real-time Ramadi firefight to Korea on August 19

The war film 'Warfare' will meet Korean audiences on August 19. Releasing through Megabox and general theaters, this work was produced based on the situation during the Battle of Ramadi in Iraq on November 19, 2006.

The film captures the process of the Navy SEAL team 'Alpha One' becoming isolated after being hit by an unexpected ambush while occupying a two-story house (OP1) located in the middle of enemy territory to secure a movement route for the US military. It portrays the survival struggle of the team members as they attempt to rescue their heavily wounded comrades, Elliot and Sam, and return to base, presented in a real-time survival action format.

Realism achieved through actors' commitment, including shaving their heads

To increase the quality of the work, the participating actors chose to immerse themselves in the film's situations. Following the film's setting, the actors went through a preparation process where they lived in the same space and even shaved each other's heads.

The released main trailer captures the reality of the battlefield, which instantly turns into chaos due to a surprise attack by terrorists. Amidst a hail of bullets, Cosmo Jarvis (as Elliot) and Joseph Quinn (as Sam) are wounded, followed by the life-threatening struggle of the Navy SEAL team to save them.

Director Alex Garland's direction and cast revealed

Director Alex Garland, who directed 'Civil War' and 'Makinna', took the megaphone, and Ray Mendoza, who has actual experience participating in the Iraq War, served as co-director.

The cast includes Joseph Quinn leading the way, joined by Charles Melton, Cosmo Jarvis, Will Poulter, and Kit Connor. In the United States, it was released through the distributor A24.
