Actor Lee Jung-jae gathered with director Hwang Dong-hyuk and actress Jung Ho-yeon, with whom he formed a bond through the Netflix series 'Squid Game.' On the 22nd, Lee shared photos from the special GV (Guest Visit) for the film 'Hope,' held at Megabox COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on his SNS to support Jung Ho-yeon.
In the released photos, the three are seen smiling brightly while striking 'Gyaru Peace' poses. Seeing them face each other again since 'Squid Game' Season 1, fans expressed their excitement, calling it a reunion of Seong Gi-hun, Sae-byeok, and Director Hwang. Director Na Hong-jin's New Film 'Hope' Becomes a Box Office Sensation
The film 'Hope,' starring Jung Ho-yeon, is the first work from director Na Hong-jin in 10 years since 'The Wailing' (2016). Set in Hopo Port near the Demilitarized Zone, it depicts the reality faced by Beom-seok (played by Hwang Jung-min), a local branch manager, after hearing news of a tiger appearing in the village. The film moves beyond mystery to tackle the subject of extraterrestrial life.
Jung Ho-yeon plays the role of 'Seong-ae,' a police officer in Hopo Port. The cast also includes Hwang Jung-min, Zo In Sung, and Eum Moon-suk. Released on July 15, 'Hope' surpassed 1 million viewers by its third day of release and exceeded 2 million viewers in just 5 days. This marks the highest opening score among Na Hong-jin's works and is the fastest record set this year. According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network data as of the 23rd, the cumulative number of viewers has reached 2,533,448.
