Il Volo invites LA POEM's Choi Seong-hoon to share a Korea stage
After Il Volo’s Villa Erba concert in Italy, LA POEM’s Choi Seong-hoon exchanged albums and discussed a possible Korea collaboration.

Choi Seong-hoon of the crossover group LA POEM spent a special moment in Italy meeting with the world-renowned vocal group Il Volo.
Choi Seong-hoon recently attended Il Volo's 'IL VOLO WORLD TOUR 2026–2027' performance held at Villa Erba in Cernobbio, Italy. Following the concert, the members of Il Volo personally invited Choi Seong-hoon to continue their conversation.
During the meeting, Choi Seong-hoon presented LA POEM's album 'ALIVE,' released this past January, to the members of Il Volo. The Il Volo members showed keen interest, carefully examining the album's design and jacket imagery, and shared positive reactions, noting they had already encountered LA POEM's music and music videos. In particular, Il Volo specifically mentioned the possibility of future collaboration, stating, "We want to stand on stage together" and "Let's definitely meet and perform in Korea."
K-Crossover Expanding to the Global Stage
This meeting draws attention as two leading figures of the classical crossover genre connected across borders.
Il Volo is a representative group active across Europe, North America, South America, and Asia, having maintained top positions on the US Billboard Classical Album charts and selling millions of records worldwide.
LA POEM is also growing its global presence as a representative crossover team from Korea. Recently, they made history as the first Korean singer to appear on the Spanish audition program 'Got Talent España 2026,' proving their talent by being the only participant in the vocal category to reach the TOP4.
Choi Seong-hoon's Journey and Musical Depth
Choi Seong-hoon, a member of LA POEM and an active countertenor, is also achieving steady success as a solo artist. His recent solo recital 'Avec,' held at the IBK Chamber Hall at the Seoul Arts Center, was a complete sell-out, confirming his individual musical capabilities.
Music fans are eagerly anticipating what kind of stage the possibility of a joint performance in Korea, directly proposed by Il Volo, will lead to in the future.
