Monsta X Announces Global Release of 'Unfold' on April 3, First US Studio Album in 4 Years
Monsta X announces the April 3 global release of their US studio album 'Unfold', marking their return to the US market after 4 years.
The group Monsta X has announced that their US studio album 'Unfold' will be released worldwide on April 3. Concept photos for the new album have been released sequentially on their official SNS.

'Unfold' is their first official US studio album in approximately 4 years since their second US studio album 'THE DREAMING' released in December 2021. Monsta X previously recorded an entry into the Billboard 200 chart with their 1st US studio album 'ALL ABOUT LUV' in 2020. This upcoming activity will proceed with a 6-member system consisting of Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, JOOHONEY, and I.M.
'THIRST' and 'ALIVE' Concept Photos Released
The released concept photos are divided into two versions: 'THIRST' and 'ALIVE'. The 'THIRST' version captures the agony and thirst of searching for answers against a backdrop of office spaces and piles of documents. Scenes of the members immersed in records or sweating were also included.
The 'ALIVE' version emphasizes restraint with pure white spaces and white-toned styling. Within a composition that stripped away unnecessary elements, the members stood in lines or posed showing their backs, completing images reminiscent of a high-end fashion lookbook.
Pre-released Tracks 'baby Blue' and 'growing pains'
Parts of the album's sound have also been revealed. Monsta X previously released 'baby Blue' and 'growing pains'. The instrumental (inst) spoiler video contains a cheerful house-based sound with delicate dynamics. It also teased a sound with a different texture from their previous works.
Kihyun's 'BORDERLINE' and Malaysia Concert on March 28
Individual activities have also continued. Kihyun released images oscillating between reality and travel through the concept photo 'THE 3rd JOURNEY' for his 2nd mini-album 'BORDERLINE'. This concept connects to the work that led to Monsta X's 'VOYAGER' and 'Somewhere'.
Monsta X is currently conducting the world tour 'THE X : NEXUS'. They recently completed their concert in Bangkok, Thailand, and have announced a concert in Malaysia on March 28. Member I.M is currently serving in the military.
