Actress Son Naeun has confessed her feelings regarding her transformation into an actress following her idol activities.

Appearing on the YouTube channel 'YouTube Ha Ji-young' on the 22nd, Son Naeun shared the realistic burdens she feels as an actress, stating, "Since I am an actress who came from a singer background, I become more conscious of the gaze of people who might be evaluating me."

Son Naeun, who is currently appearing in the SBS drama 'Kim Bu-jang', also revealed behind-the-scenes episodes. Recalling her intense first impression of actor So Ji-sub, whom she met at the script reading, she said, "I have watched many of his works before, and isn't his nickname 'So Gan-ji' famous? Just seeing him sitting there made me marvel."

She also mentioned personality similarities with the cast members she works with. Son Naeun burst into laughter, saying, "So Ji-sub, Yoon Kyung-ho, Choi Dae-hoon, and even senior Joo Sang-wook all have MBTI types of I (Introvert). Because of my introverted nature, there were moments when I worried because I couldn't strike up a conversation with the seniors first."

Overcoming burnout from Apink days to settle as an actress

She also opened up about the hardships she faced during her past idol activities. Having debuted with Apink in 2011, she revealed that amidst a tight schedule, she experienced burnout, thinking, "Is this okay? What am I doing this for?" She added that at the time, she lived under the protection of her company and those around her, which meant there were many restrictions even on her daily activities.

Currently, she is showing a changed side by focusing on her life as an actress. "Now, I feel like I am living as myself," Son Naeun said, adding, "While acting, I also realized that I enjoy receiving attention." In particular, regarding the SBS drama 'Kim Bu-jang' she is currently appearing in, she cited it as "the best choice of my life."
