Agent Kim Reactivated Hits 15.7% by Episode 2, Putting Yoon Kyung-ho’s 13-Hour Silence Pledge in Motion

SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama Agent Kim Reactivated has crossed the 15 percent ratings mark just two episodes into its run. According to Nielsen Korea’s nationwide household figures, the second episode, which aired on June 27, 2026, recorded 15.7 percent nationwide and 15.9 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area. Its real-time peak rose as high as 18.1 percent.

The result is the highest rating for an SBS drama in 2026. It also marks the first time since The Penthouse 3 in 2021 that an SBS drama has broken through the 15 percent barrier by only its second broadcast. The number also brought attention back to actor Yoon Kyung-ho’s ratings pledge from the June 25 production presentation, where he promised to undertake 13 hours of silent practice if the drama reached 13 percent.

Yoon Kyung-ho, known in the entertainment world as a representative “too much talker,” responded on June 28 with a lengthy post on his social media account. “Since I may not be able to speak for 13 hours, I want to leave here in advance the words I want to say,” he wrote, sharing his feelings ahead of the silence pledge.

In the post, Yoon thanked viewers for the love that pushed Agent Kim Reactivated to 15 percent ratings within two episodes. He then listed the names of 187 people, including production staff and crew members, in Korean alphabetical order, showing affection for the many colleagues who worked with him on the drama.

He also mentioned actors Choi Dae-hoon and Son Naeun, who had said at the production presentation that they would join him in the silence pledge. Yoon added that the drama was able to receive such strong support because of the two actors’ presence.

The number 13 behind the pledge is tied to actor So Ji-sub’s return to SBS. At the production presentation, Yoon said, “Since senior actor So Ji-sub is returning to SBS after 13 years, I will set 13 percent as the goal,” and promised to complete 13 hours of silent practice if the ratings reached that mark.

Through his social media post, Yoon recalled the purpose of that pledge and said he would repay the support, which had far exceeded the target, through silence.

Yoon explained that he is currently traveling with his family, so he cannot begin the silent practice immediately. He promised, “As soon as I return, I will definitely try it once for those who are waiting,” and added his characteristic humor by writing, “My wife’s words telling me to watch my mouth have sunk in deeply.”

Agent Kim Reactivated is a revenge action drama about an ordinary father who fights to get his daughter back. The series has also drawn attention as So Ji-sub’s first SBS drama in 13 years.
