Kihyun turns up the guitars for 'So Good' on M Countdown
MONSTA X vocalist Kihyun debuts the rock-tinged 'So Good' comeback stage on Mnet's M Countdown as BORDERLINE climbs global iTunes charts.
MONSTA X's Kihyun is set to showcase his capabilities as a solo artist on a music broadcast stage. On the 9th, Kihyun will appear on Mnet's 'M Countdown' to perform the first comeback stage for 'So Good', the title track from his 2nd mini album 'BORDERLINE'.

This title track, 'So Good', sings of the catharsis found in the moment one decides to trust their own senses and choices rather than being bound by societal answers. The song is characterized by Kihyun's vocals flowing over a gradually intensifying guitar sound, culminating in powerful high notes that mesh with a rock sound in the latter half of the track.
Global Success with Top Rankings in 12 iTunes Countries
The new album 'BORDERLINE' achieved remarkable results in the global market immediately following its release. It climbed to 21st place on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart and secured the number 1 spot on the iTunes Top 100 K-pop Album Chart in five countries, including Australia, Finland, and the Netherlands.
In the US market, it also recorded 3rd place on the US iTunes Chart. Additionally, it placed within the top 5 in a total of 12 countries, including Brazil, Canada, Germany, India, Japan, and Mexico, proving his strong global influence despite this being his first solo comeback in approximately 3 years and 9 months.
Balancing MONSTA X Activities and Solo Career
Marking his 10th year since debut, Kihyun has mastered various genres including alternative rock, pop rock, and R&B in this album. The US business magazine Forbes noted that Kihyun's vocals possess the ability to move freely from Belting to Falsetto and low notes.
Alongside these solo activities, Kihyun is preparing for MONSTA X's '2026 MONSTA WORLD TOUR [THE X : NEXUS]' and is also scheduled to perform at various music festivals.
