J.Y. Park “The Asiansoul” dives into summer with ‘WET’
J.Y. Park “The Asiansoul” returns July 23 with ‘WET,’ his first summer single in six years, as Waterbomb Seoul 2026 ramps up.
New Single 'WET' Released After 8 Months
J.Y. Park “The Asiansoul”, the founder of JYP Entertainment, is returning to his primary career as a singer. J.Y. Park will release his new single 'WET' through various online music release platforms on the 23rd. This marks his first new song in approximately 8 months following the digital single 'Happy Hour' released last November. Notably, this is his first summer song in 6 years since 'When We Disco' with Sunmi in 2020.

J.Y. Park resigned from his position as an internal director of JYP Entertainment this past March. As the founder, he decided to maintain his role as CCO to focus on nurturing junior artists and handling external affairs related to the K-pop industry. Since founding JYP Entertainment in 1997, he has built one of Korea's top four agencies, producing numerous artists such as god, Rain, 2PM, Twice, Stray Kids, ITZY, and Nmixx. Having balanced management and producing as a registered internal director since 2011, he is now shifting his weight toward his identity as an artist with this new song release.
"With the Heart of a 31-Year Rookie"... Teasing Waterbomb 2026 Appearance
Along with the new song announcement, he also revealed his determination to return to the stage. J.Y. Park announced his appearance at 'Waterbomb Seoul 2026,' teasing a provocative performance. Appearing on the official Waterbomb YouTube channel on the 14th, J.Y. Park stated, "I think this outfit will be even more eye-catching than last year," adding, "I hope the current and former JYP artists performing with me put more effort into their outfits."
Now in his 31st year since debut, he emphasized his ongoing passion as an active artist. "I perform thinking of myself as a 31-year rookie," J.Y. Park said. "I want to remain an artist who appears energetic and excited to take the stage, just like a rookie in your eyes."
