Park Eun-bin and Yang Se-jong’s ‘Spellbound’ Sets July 18 tvN Premiere

Park Eun-bin and Yang Se-jong meet as a chaebol heiress who sees ghosts and a prosecutor who is afraid of ghosts. Ahead of its premiere on July 18 at 9:10 PM, the new tvN Saturday-Sunday drama 'Spellbound' has sequentially released a motion poster and a teaser.

At the center of the released motion poster and teaser are hands. The moment Cheon Yeo-ri (Park Eun-bin) takes off her gloves and holds the hand of Ma Gang-uk (Yang Se-jong), a loud roar sounds, and a suspicious shadow is reflected beyond the window. 'Spellbound' tells the story of Cheon Yeo-ri, a chaebol heiress who sees ghosts, and Ma Gang-uk, a passionate prosecutor who is most afraid of ghosts. It is scheduled to air on Saturday and Sunday nights at 9:10 PM and is known to consist of 12 episodes. The setting adds elements of occult and investigative drama to romantic comedy.

Cheon Yeo-ri is the CEO of Reina Hotel; while she appears to be someone who has everything on the surface, she hides the secret of seeing ghosts and even hearing their voices. Because of the setting that anyone whose hand she holds can also see that world, she keeps her distance from people. Ma Gang-uk is portrayed as an ace prosecutor at the Seoul District Prosecutors' Office, but he is a person who becomes weakest in front of ghosts.

Regarding the relationship between Cheon Yeo-ri and Ma Gang-uk, Park Eun-bin recalled the phrase, 'You are the first person like this.' She explained that for Cheon Yeo-ri, who has lived accepting her lonely fate, she would inevitably be drawn to someone who understands her inner self.

Yang Se-jong picked 'cuteness' as a key element in the relationship between the two, stating that Ma Gang-uk will end up staying by Cheon Yeo-ri's side as they navigate various situations together. Park Eun-bin plays Cheon Yeo-ri, who hides loneliness behind a calm and haughty face, while Yang Se-jong plays Ma Gang-uk, a prosecutor with a strong sense of justice who wavers in the face of supernatural situations.
