Kim Hye-jun, First Romantic Comedy Challenge in 11 Years

Actor Kim Hye-jun is coming to viewers through the romantic comedy genre. Kim Hye-jun will portray a new character through the new tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'My Bias, My Boss.'

Attending the production presentation for 'My Bias, My Boss' held on the 28th, Kim Hye-jun shared her thoughts on the romantic comedy genre, which she is taking on for the first time in 11 years since her debut in the 2015 web drama 'The Trend is Lily': "I really wanted to try it once, but when it actually came to doing it, I felt overwhelmed and the pressure was great." In the drama, Kim Hye-jun plays Nam Da-reum, a new employee in the Apello marketing team, portraying the chaotic growth story of a person who joined a fashion platform company to meet her favorite idol.

Love Triangle with Kang Hoon and Cha Woo-min

This work is a 12-episode office romance based on the Naver webtoon 'My Brother is an Idol.' The love triangle depicted by the three actors Kang Hoon, Kim Hye-jun, and Cha Woo-min is the core axis of the drama.

Kang Hoon, playing the role of Kang Ha-gi, the CEO of Apello, said he studied the work methods and style of a fashion platform CEO to embody the character. Kang Hoon added, "My perfectionist personality and 'J' style planner type are similar to the character."

Cha Woo-min, who plays Lee Chan, a director and former idol, revealed that he put a lot of effort into dance practice by utilizing his actual idol experience. Regarding his chemistry with Kang Hoon, Cha Woo-min said, "Looking at Kang Hoon hyung makes me laugh naturally," and added, "There is so much bromance that Kim Hye-jun gets jealous."

Director Park Ji-hyun "Preserving the Authenticity of the Original"

Director Park Ji-hyun focused on transferring the charm of the original work to the drama. Director Park explained, "When I first saw the original, I felt the warmth of the points of growth through the authenticity of workplace life and the sensation of having loved someone passionately. To fit the characteristics of the drama medium, I added settings that can clearly show the relationships between the characters."

'My Bias, My Boss' will premiere on August 3rd at 8:45 p.m. on tvN.
