Ha Seok-jin and Ahn Hee-yeon Team Up in Drama 'Love is Coming'

First loves separated eight years ago, Kim Mu-jin and Han Gyu-rim meet again

The heart of the drama follows Kim Mu-jin (played by Ha Seok-jin) and Han Gyu-rim (played by Hani), first loves who faced a breakup eight years prior. Mu-jin, who has grown into the owner-chef of an Italian restaurant, and Gyu-rim, a side dish shop employee who maintains her vibrant energy despite a grueling reality, face each other again after the passage of time. The core of the story lies in how Mu-jin, who gave up much for love in the past, and Gyu-rim, who had to choose separation to prevent his misfortune, overcome their past misunderstandings and wounds.

Divergent family narratives and multi-dimensional characters

Moving beyond the romance between the leads, the drama provides a multi-dimensional portrayal of various family dynamics. The family led by Kim Mu-jin and Hong Ok-seon (played by Jin Kyeong) faces cold walls built by long-standing misunderstandings and conflicts. In contrast, Han Gyu-rim's family shows the intense daily lives of five siblings centered around their father, Han Seok-jung (played by Ryu Seung-su).

The narratives of the middle-aged generation are also given significant weight. The seasoned stories crafted by Jang Hun-tae (played by Kwon Hae-hyo) and Go Yoon-hee (played by Yoon Yoo-sun) will serve as the drama's emotional anchor. The series will depict characters who, despite hurting one another in the name of family, ultimately find they cannot leave each other's side.

A 'Family Recipe' created by writer Lee Kyung-hee and director Hong Seok-gu

The production team's lineup is drawing significant attention. Writer Lee Kyung-hee, known for works such as 'Uncontrollably Fond' and 'I'm Sorry, I Love You,' is handling the script, while director Hong Seok-gu, who directed 'Beauty and Mr. Romantic' and 'My One and Only,' takes the helm.

The cast is equally solid. Alongside Ha Seok-jin and Hani, Park Yoo-na and Bae Jung-nam join with distinct characters, while Kwon Hae-hyo and Yoon Yoo-sun anchor the production. Notably, Ryu Seung-su and Jin Kyeong have previously worked with writer Lee Kyung-hee on the drama 'Very Good Times.'

The production team stated that they aim to capture the process of characters healing their hearts through warm meals and discovering the true meaning of family. 'Love Is Coming,' which promises to provide comfort like the nostalgic scent of a home-cooked meal every weekend, premieres on July 25.
