Joshua Hong takes SEVENTEEN's youth mission to UNESCO in Paris
Joshua Hong will represent SEVENTEEN at UNESCO Headquarters, Paris on June 25 as 100 youth projects and 2026 support plans are unveiled.
SEVENTEEN's Joshua Hong will attend the 'UNESCO x SEVENTEEN: Celebrating Youth, Creativity and Well-Being Together' event held at the UNESCO Headquarters, Paris on June 25. Joshua will stand at the venue representing the members of SEVENTEEN.

This event serves as a platform to confirm the ongoing collaboration following SEVENTEEN's appointment as UNESCO's first Youth Goodwill Ambassadors. The results of 100 youth-led projects conducted worldwide in 2025, along with details regarding expanded support for 2026, will be discussed.
June 25 Event at UNESCO Headquarters, Paris
The event will take place from 10:00 AM to noon on June 25 in Meeting Room 1 of the UNESCO Headquarters, Paris. The official name is 'UNESCO x SEVENTEEN: Celebrating Youth, Creativity and Well-Being Together'.
The 'Well-Being' included in the event name refers not to simple rest or mood changes, but rather a concept of welfare that helps youth gain the strength to continue their activities in their respective regions. SEVENTEEN was appointed as UNESCO's first Youth Goodwill Ambassadors in June 2024.
Supporting 100 Projects with a $1 Million Fund
SEVENTEEN and UNESCO's 'Going Together - For Youth Creativity and Well-Being' launched in 2024. SEVENTEEN provided $1 million in support to this program. The areas of support include restoring confidence through music, arts, and sports, building youth communities, and improving mental health and welfare.
The youths leading these projects are between the ages of 18 and 30. In 2025, 100 youth-led projects from around the world received support. In 2026, a phase will begin providing even greater support to 10 of those project leaders.
Collaboration Continuing Since the 2023 Youth Forum
Prior to this collaboration with UNESCO, SEVENTEEN also delivered speeches and performances at the Youth Forum at the UNESCO Headquarters, Paris in 2023. When a K-pop group with a strong fandom meets an international organization, what matters most is the consistency of the schedule and the actual sustainability of the program.
Joshua's attendance on the 25th also serves as an opportunity to verify whether SEVENTEEN's activities with international organizations are leading to funding, selection, mentoring, and expanded support. The event is expected to reveal the results of the 100 projects and details regarding the 10 projects receiving expanded support.
