The dish name is 'Kwon Sung-Jun'... Sujebi that embodies himself

In the episode of JTBC's 'Chef & My Fridge' aired on the 20th, Chef Kwon Sung-Jun presented a dish that projected his own image with the goal of going 'Viral'. Naming the dish after himself as 'Kwon Sung-Jun', Chef Kwon Sung-Jun expressed his desire for attention, stating, "I will express a simple but intense and powerful Kwon Sung-Jun."

The dish was a sujebi (hand-pulled dough soup) featuring red shrimp, hard clams, and garlic as main ingredients. In particular, he used expensive red shrimp costing nearly 30,000 won per piece, and served it with a 'Josajurae' sauce made by mixing hard clam broth, bonito milk, soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar into a gelatin sauce. During the plating process, Chef Kwon Sung-Jun emphasized his presence, saying, "I won't wipe the square edges. Because it is Kwon Sung-Jun."

"The taste of loneliness" vs "Just sujebi": Mixed evaluations

The reactions of the cast members facing the completed dish were sharply divided. One cast member interpreted the emotions embedded in the dish, saying, "It seems to contain your lonely emotions. I wonder if it's a bit salty because tears were added." On the other hand, some cast members gave intuitive reactions upon seeing the shape of the dish, saying, "It's cheek fat," or "It's just sujebi."

Aimed for viral success, but turned into a 'mockery party' on set

The 'viral' strategy prepared to attract attention became a subject of playful jokes on set. As the dish's title and shape focused excessively on himself, the cast members exchanged jokes, saying, "We will make sure you get plenty of attention," and "If you're going to be like that, just name the dish Choi Eun-seong." Chef Kwon Sung-Jun participated in the cheerful atmosphere on set, such as by making sure to grab garlic during the cooking process.
