Seventeen keeps all 13 together after second Pledis renewal
Seventeen renews with Pledis Entertainment for a second time, preserving its 13-member lineup 11 years after debut amid military hiatuses.
All 13 members complete contract renewals
Boy group Seventeen has signed contract renewals with all 13 members alongside their agency, Pledis Entertainment. Having maintained the team without any member departures for 11 years since their 2015 debut, Seventeen has now completed their second round of contract renewals following their first in 2021.

Except for members currently serving in the military, the remaining members have completed their contracts. Members fulfilling their military service are also expected to sign sequentially in accordance with their service conditions.
Unit and solo activities run alongside military hiatuses
In the recent K-pop market, unlike the past when teams often faced disbandment crises around their 7th anniversary, cases of entire top-tier groups renewing contracts are increasing. NCT 127, who debuted in 2016, renewed with SM Entertainment, and Ateez, who debuted in 2018, also completed full group contract renewals with KQ Entertainment last year.
Agencies manage hiatuses by launching unit activities or solo projects to ensure that members' enlistments do not lead to a weakening of the team's momentum. Seventeen currently has members such as Wonwoo, Woozi, and Hoshi who are either serving in the military or have enlisted. NCT 127 has members like DOYOUNG and Jung Woo who have served or are facing enlistment, and Ateez is also facing sequential enlistments in the future.
Team brand value based on global fandom
Teams with powerful fandoms continue to generate revenue through album sales, performances, and secondary content even during members' military service periods. The team brand also serves as an asset in members' individual acting, variety show, and solo activities.
Pop culture critic Ha Jae-geun analyzed, "In the case of idols, the team brand built up over a long period has now become the most powerful asset."\ Seventeen is continuing its momentum by releasing a playlist ranging from 'Adore U' to 'MAESTRO' through MBC's 'Special PL'.
