BTS's 'NORMAL' storms back onto Hot 100 as 'Arirang' hits No. 9

BTS's track 'NORMAL' from their 5th studio album 'Arirang' has re-entered the Billboard main single chart 'Hot 100' at No. 33. After its initial entry at No. 41 on April 4th and remaining on the chart for three consecutive weeks, the song's ranking rose following the release of its music video and Korean audio version on the 17th.

Album performance rose in tandem. The 5th studio album 'Arirang' recorded 9th place on the Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200', climbing 17 spots compared to the previous week. It is the album that showed the steepest rise on this week's chart. Sales increased by approximately 40,000 units, a 62% increase from the previous week. 'Arirang' has maintained its position in the top 10 for a total of 13 weeks, setting a record for the longest duration for a Korean artist's album.

'NORMAL' Billboard Hot 100 Re-entry and Album Chart Rise

'NORMAL' broke its own record by reaching No. 4 on the 'Global 200' chart. On the 'Global (Excl. US)' chart, it took 2nd place. The title track 'SWIM' reached No. 10 and No. 5, respectively. A total of six tracks from 'Arirang', including 'Body to Body', '2.0', 'Hooligan', and 'FYA', have appeared on the 'Global (Excl. US)' chart for 18 consecutive weeks. The new song 'Come Over' entered the chart at No. 133, and 'Dynamite' entered at No. 140.

In detailed metrics, 'NORMAL' recorded 1st place in the 'Digital Song Sales' category. 'Arirang' ranked 2nd in 'Vinyl Albums', 3rd in 'Top Album Sales', and 28th in 'Top Streaming Albums'. A reaction also appeared in the French market. Influenced by the 'BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN PARIS' performance held at Stade de France in Paris on the 17th and 18th, 'Arirang' climbed 13 spots from the previous week to reach 3rd place on the French Recording Industry Association (SNEP) 'Top Albums' chart.

BTS will conduct their North American tour at MetLife Stadium in New York, USA, from August 1st to 2nd.

Global Chart Dominance and French Market Success

According to the interim tally results of the '2026 SPOTV K-POP AWARDS (2026 SKA)' being conducted through the enter-tech platforms Viki and Kugung, BTS took 1st place in the regular category main award division.

The first round of voting closes on August 4th at 12:00 p.m., and the top 10 teams will advance to the finals. The overall fan voting will continue until August 24th at 12:00 p.m.
