Um Hyun-kyung recently played the lead role of Yong Su-jeong in the MBC drama 'The Brave Yong Su Jeong'. Having portrayed a character with deep emotional lines and independent female qualities, she won the Best Actress award in the Daily/Single Act Drama category at the 2024 MBC Drama Awards.

In her acceptance speech, she expressed that her heart was heavy as she conveyed condolences to the bereaved families. The recent photos drew fans' attention as they are everyday scenes released after her win.
