Ten years of silence during the Philippines immigration period and overcoming it through music

At the time, Sandara Park confessed that she barely spoke for 10 years because she was unskilled in both English and Filipino. She shared that being teased by local children due to her poor pronunciation remained a trauma, and her teacher at the time even misunderstood her as a child who could not speak and communicated with her using sign language.

Music was what helped her endure the difficult times. Sandara Park revealed that she nurtured her dream of becoming a singer while watching recordings of "Inkigayo" in Korean video rooms, and that she was a fan of Fin.K.L at the time. Later, she grew into a Philippine star by taking second place in a local audition program.

A harsh schedule where she couldn't sleep even one hour a day for over a year

Her schedule after rising to stardom was extremely grueling. Starting her activities around the age of 19, Sandara Park balanced four fixed programs, dramas, music shows, MC roles, movies, and album activities. Sandara Park continued a life where she could not sleep even one hour a day for over a year after her debut, and she expressed her feelings of wanting to quit her activities as she could not attend school at a young age while living apart from her mother.

The connection with YG Entertainment formed by "Human Theater"

She also revealed the occasion that led to her connection with YG Entertainment during her Korean debut process. In Sandara Park's room, which became known in Korea through "Human Theater," posters of Fin.K.L and Seven were posted. Seeing this, Yang Minseok, who was the Vice President of YG Entertainment at the time, visited in person, marking the start of the relationship. Due to her excessive schedule at the time, Sandara Park could not meet him in person, and her mother conducted the meeting instead.

Regarding the background of joining YG Entertainment, which many people have been curious about, Sandara Park mentioned "hip-hop DNA." While there were views at the time that the SM Entertainment style would suit her, Sandara Park explained her reason for choosing YG Entertainment, stating, "Rather than conditions like the contract fee, I admired the YG Family."
