Actors Choi Soo-jong and Uee are warmly continuing their connection from their drama days into real life.

On the 22nd, Choi Soo-jong shared via his SNS that Uee visited the theater to support his play 'Oedipus.' In the released photos, the two are seen posing affectionately with bright smiles, and the large bouquet prepared by Uee caught everyone's eye.

Choi Soo-jong expressed his deep affection for Uee in his post, writing, “The daughter from the drama My Only One... After Uee watched 'Oedipus'..!! I am always grateful and thankful..!! Thank you for always being on my side.. I love that we can always be together like this.. I'm grateful and I love you.. daughter.. haha.” Uee responded warmly, adding to the touching moment by saying, “Father. I love and respect you.”

An 8-year bond forged by 2018's 'My Only One'

The special relationship between the two began with the KBS 2TV weekend drama 'My Only One,' which aired in 2018. At the time, Choi Soo-jong played the role of 'Kang Soo-il,' Uee's father in the drama, establishing their connection through his portrayal of desperate paternal love.

Their interaction did not stop after the drama ended. In 2025, Choi Soo-jong visited the theater to support Uee's play 'Our Little Sister,' and this time, Uee visited Choi Soo-jong's stage, with the two serving as pillars of support for one another. Fans have reacted by cheering on their enduring bond, which transcends their 26-year age difference.

A passionate return to the stage in 'Oedipus,' his first play in 9 years

Currently, Choi Soo-jong is returning to the theatrical stage for the first time in 9 years to meet audiences face-to-face. Playing the lead role of Oedipus in the classic tragedy 'Oedipus' directed by Seo Jae-hyung, he depicts the inner workings of a human being who falls from an absolute ruler to someone crumbling before fate.

The play 'Oedipus,' which Uee visited, is being held at the Sejong M Theater in the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul and will run until the 23rd of next month.
