The conflict began with a revelation from Kim Eui-sung. While informing Im Hyeong-jun of the news regarding Season 2 production, Kim mentioned the possibility of joining as a new villain, stating, "Seung-mok is dropping out, but Ryu Seung Ryong spoke well of me, so it looks like I might get in."

However, Yoo Seung Mok, who expressed his intention to return after winning the Best Supporting Actor award at the Baeksang Arts Awards, launched a counterattack. Yoo stood his ground against Kim Eui-sung, arguing, "I think I should do Season 2. Isn't it right for the person who has done it once to do it again?"
