Yoo Min-Sang asks if marriage is coming and blurts, 'That's right!'

Comedian Yoo Min-Sang brought up a question he had long been carrying on SBS Plus's shamanism-themed talk program, "Sinppal Talk Show: Gwimyo Story 2." In episode 24, which aired on June 15 under the theme of "enemy," Yoo appeared as a guest alongside Lee Hong Gi of FT Island.

The focus of the broadcast was not limited to whether Yoo might get married. During the conversation, Yoo was repeatedly surprised by the shaman's comments, and he also spoke frankly on air about his shyness and a recent dating experience.

When MC Lee Guk-joo asked him, "You're going to ask about getting married, right?" Yoo answered without hesitation, "Of course I have to ask." Referring to himself as someone born in 1979, he then asked, "I'm forty-eight this year. Will I be able to get married?"

The exchange began with the light tone of a variety-show joke, but Yoo treated marriage not as an abstract topic for entertainment but as a concern he genuinely wanted to check in the moment. That directness carried the mood of the conversation forward.

The shaman told Yoo, "To start with the conclusion, you will get married." The shaman also mentioned a form of relationship fate, saying that a connection would come into his life this year.

What drew an even bigger reaction from Yoo was not simply the prediction that marriage would happen, but the description of how he forms relationships. The shaman said Yoo is extremely shy and cannot properly look at someone when he develops feelings for them. As the shaman continued, saying in effect that even when Yoo has feelings, he does not approach the other person clearly enough and the person ends up leaving, Yoo immediately shouted, "That's right!"

The discussion then turned to the kind of person Yoo might meet in the future. When the shaman mentioned a profession in the announcer or reporter field, Yoo revealed that someone with whom things had recently not worked out had, in fact, been in a similar line of work.

Although "Gwimyo Story 2" uses shamanism as its subject, Yoo's conversation that day was less about a fortune itself than about how honestly a guest was willing to speak about his own worries. A question that began with marriage prospects led into a recent dating story and a confession about shyness, leaving behind the very real concern that Yoo, known for making audiences laugh, struggles even to meet the eyes of someone he likes.

The broadcast did not confirm that Yoo Min-Sang will get married. It did show, however, that Yoo treated marriage not as a question he wanted to avoid but as an issue he wanted to ask about directly, while also acknowledging the lack of assertiveness he has felt in front of relationships.
