DinDin and Lee Joon Team Take 1st Place in Missions, Aiming for 'Half-Day Off' Voucher

The cast of KBS 2TV's '2 Days and 1 Night Season 4' competed for a 'Half-Day Off' voucher, which allows the winners to take a full day off during the second day of their schedule in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do. In the '2026 Summer Workshop' episode aired on the 19th, the members spared no effort to collect lottery balls through various missions.

The broadcast recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 6.4% according to Nielsen Korea, ranking first in its time slot. Notably, as the team of DinDin and Lee Joon clinched victory in the final mission, the peak viewership rating soared to 8.9%.

For this workshop, teams were formed by pairing mentors and mentees based on when the fixed members joined the show. Kim Jong Min and Lee Yong-jin, Moon Se-yoon and Lee Ki Taek, and DinDin and Lee Joon formed the respective teams. While the senior members looked after the newer members, they also created an atmosphere reminiscent of actual bosses and subordinates. DinDin added to the fun by taking on the role of a strict senior toward his teammate Lee Joon.

The first mission involved finding incentive money hidden inside ice. During this process, Lee Joon stripped his top and wore a sleeveless shirt, showing his determination by pressing the ice against his armpits to melt it. Thanks to Lee Joon's fighting spirit, the DinDin and Lee Joon team secured 2,000 won in incentive money. Moon Se-yoon and Lee Ki Taek's team earned 12,000 won, the highest amount, while Kim Jong Min and Lee Yong-jin's team failed to obtain any incentive money.

In the subsequent 'Luck-of-the-Draw Marathon,' Lee Ki Taek staged a comeback with a final sprint while wearing swim fins. During the 'All the World's Composite Quiz' held at Asan Gangdanggol Valley, the DinDin and Lee Joon team took 1st place and won a reward of baeksuk (boiled chicken). The 2nd place team, Kim Jong Min and Lee Yong-jin, had to eat using only one small plate, while the 3rd place team, Moon Se-yoon and Lee Ki Taek, used only small saucers.

In the final mission, 'Tube Alkkagi,' the DinDin and Lee Joon team once again took 1st place, acquiring 5 additional lottery balls. According to the final tally, the DinDin and Lee Joon team secured 15 balls, the Kim Jong Min and Lee Yong-jin team secured 11, and the Moon Se-yoon and Lee Ki Taek team secured 8. Whether DinDin and Lee Joon, having collected the most lottery balls, will become the owners of the 'Half-Day Off' voucher will be decided in the next broadcast.
