Yeonjun looks back on the sleepless grind that made a top trainee
On The Seasons, Tomorrow X Together's Yeonjun recalls years of trainee evaluations, debut pressure, late-night practice and his food cravings.
Recalling trainee days with the mindset of "If I don't make it, I'll join the military"
Yeonjun, a member of the group Tomorrow X Together (TXT), opened up about the intense effort he put in during his trainee days.

Appearing on the music variety show 'The Seasons', Yeonjun reminisced about his trainee life, which lasted about 4 to 5 years starting from his first year of high school. Mentioning how he never missed first place in any evaluation, he revealed that he used his desperation to debut as his driving force.
"I worked relentlessly with the mindset that if I didn't make it here, I would have to join the military," Yeonjun shared, expressing his feelings at the time. He then mentioned the importance of practice to junior trainees dreaming of becoming idols, saying, "I think you just need to practice while others are sleeping."
Revealing a twist in his appetite: "Eating is the happiness of life"
Yeonjun, who shows off a solid physique on stage, named eating as one of the great joys of his life. While he used to feel embarrassed about eating in the past, he now shows himself enjoying gastronomy.
Having recently taken up cooking as a hobby, Yeonjun showed such passion for cooking that he even asked for the broth recipe of a famous restaurant he encountered during his Japan tour. He shared his own recipes, ranging from bulgogi to motsunabe broth, and adding cheese and pepper to Shin Ramyun.
Furthermore, he listed specific menus, saying, "If I could rest right now, I would want to eat sundae-gukbap, pork gukbap, and samgyeopsal with myeongina-mul (pickled garlic leaves)." Yeonjun added that he is making an effort to refrain from late-night snacks for thorough self-management.
