Son Tae-jin Wraps Three-Day THE MAESTRO Seoul Concert, Heads to Busan in July

Son Tae-jin is moving the stage to Busan in July after completing his solo concert 'THE MAESTRO' in Seoul. From June 19 to 21, he held three performances at LG Arts Center Seoul LG SIGNATURE Hall, presenting live stages following the release of his new remake album 'Summer Scent'.

Son Tae-jin is a singer who has worked across classical, crossover and trot sensibilities through 'Phantom Singer' and 'Burning Trotman'. In this concert, rather than sharply separating familiar songs by genre, he led the stage with the resonance of his low register and the lingering emotion at the ends of phrases at the center.

'THE MAESTRO' held for three days at LG Arts Center Seoul

The Seoul concert opened with 'I Will Give My All to You' and 'First Confession'. A broad set list followed, including Michael Buble's 'Kissing A Fool', the French chanson 'Hymne a l'Amour' and 'As Flowers Bloom and Fade', from the soundtrack of the film 'Sado'.

The arrangement, featuring trumpet, saxophone, violin, viola and cello, was also shaped to put Son Tae-jin's vocals forward. Rather than pushing the band sound aggressively, the structure placed the texture of the voice first, with the instruments adding color from behind.

Vocal control confirmed after 'Summer Scent'

The concert title 'THE MAESTRO' means conductor. On the actual stage, Son Tae-jin created the flow by varying his breathing from song to song rather than driving the mood with large gestures. It was a performance that put the strength to sustain long breaths ahead of competition over high notes.

He placed songs familiar to older generations, film music and overseas standards on one stage. Instead of relying on either an idol-style tour format or a traditional classical recital, he connected different songs through his own voice.

July 17-18 performances at Sohyang Theater Woori Bank Hall

The next stop is Busan. '2026 Son Tae-jin Solo Concert THE MAESTRO - Busan' will be held on July 17 and 18 at Sohyang Theater Woori Bank Hall.

The Seoul performances took place over three days, at 7 p.m. Friday, 5 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Busan is scheduled for two days. The set list and live arrangement heard in Seoul will meet audiences on the Busan stage in a more condensed form.
