Singer Kim Yong-bin demonstrated unrivaled power in the preliminary round of 'OST MATCH POINT' Season 2, a fan vote to select the official OST singers for the new KBS 2TV weekend drama 'Love Is Coming'. According to results from the campaign operator Rematch, as of 3:14 PM on the 13th, Kim Yong-bin took 1st place with a high vote share of 56.1%, securing a total of 28,203 votes. Kim Yong-bin, the winner of 'Mr. Trot 3' in 2025, once again confirmed the strong support of his powerful fandom.
Son Tae Jin, Jang Han-byeol, Son Bin-a, and Leesolomon Advance to Finals
Son Tae Jin took 2nd place with 12,359 votes (24.6%), showing a gap of 15,844 votes from 1st-place finisher Kim Yong-bin. Following them, Jang Han-byeol (3,360 votes) in 3rd and Son Bin-a (2,605 votes) in 4th also grabbed spots in the finals.
The most intense battle for the 5th spot was won by Leesolomon. Leesolomon, a former contestant on 'Tomorrow's National Singer,' secured 1,725 votes, dramatically catching the last ticket to the finals by beating Jeon Yujin (758 votes) by a margin of 967 votes. Meanwhile, Enoch recorded 706 votes, narrowly missing the threshold for the finals after a close race decided by a 52-vote difference.
The preliminaries were hosted by bnt and managed by Yogurtt Studio and Rematch, with cooperation from the global fandom platform 'JK FANDOM.' The process involved aggregating votes from the Rematch app and JK FANDOM onto an integrated website.
Finals Begin July 14 to Determine the Final 2 Singers
The five singers who passed the preliminaries (Kim Yong-bin, Son Tae Jin, Jang Han-byeol, Son Bin-a, and Leesolomon) will enter the final voting round starting at noon on July 14. The final voting will close at 3:00 PM on July 24.
Based on the results of this final vote, the singers who take 1st and 2nd place in the popular singer category will be officially confirmed as the official OST singers for the KBS 2TV weekend drama 'Love Is Coming.'
