Kim Junsu's Black Hair Transformation and Stage Direction

The sixth season of the musical 'Dracula' has opened at the LG SIGNATURE Hall of the LG Arts Center Seoul in Magok. Based on Bram Stoker's novel, this production tells the story of Count Dracula, who has gazed upon only one woman for 400 years.

Kim Jun-su Transforms with Black Hair in Musical 'Dracula'

The most striking change this season is Kim Junsu's appearance. Having played the role of Dracula for 12 years since the 2014 premiere, he has chosen black hair instead of his previous signature red hair. Kim Junsu leads the flow of the play using a revolving stage, expressing the character's solitude and emotional lines through Frank Wildhorn's musical numbers. The stage implements scene transitions by combining a quadruple turntable with 20 large pillars, creating a Gothic romance atmosphere.

A Lineup of Four Draculas and Mina Actresses

Four different actors appear as Dracula this season. Shin Sung-rok delivers a charismatic performance, while Jeon Dong Seok presents a romance based on his vocal volume. Newly joined Ko Eun-seong also takes the stage, building his own version of the character.

The acting battle continues among the actresses playing the role of Mina. Cho Jung-eun portrays a tragic love, while Park Ji-yeon anchors the play with her solid acting. Newly joined Kim Hwan-hee portrays a character agonizing between fate, backed by her vocal prowess.

The musical 'Dracula' is currently performing at the LG SIGNATURE Hall of the LG Arts Center Seoul. Reservations are available through Ticketlink, NOL Ticket, and the official LG Arts Center Seoul website.
