Special album composed of 12 hit songs and 2 new tracks to be released
Agency Ttolbae Entertainment announced that singer Koo Chang Mo will release the special album 'Memory & Future' at 12 PM on the 14th. This new release marks his first official new album in 37 years since his 5th album 'Sad Love' released in 1989.
The album consists of a total of 14 tracks, including 12 mega-hits from his days with Songolmae and his solo career, plus 2 new songs. The title track, 'Meeting You Again,' is an homage to 'Suddenly Met You,' the title track of Songolmae's 2nd album which Koo Chang Mo wrote and composed. It was produced based on a funk rhythm. The other new song, 'Lovers of Planet Earth,' is characterized by a classical vocal-style melody.
New song performances to be revealed via YouTube Live at 8 PM on the 14th
On the 14th, the day of the album release, a live broadcast will be held at 8 PM through the YouTube channel 'Suwajin TV.' During this session, Koo Chang Mo is scheduled to perform a total of 5 live stages, including the new songs included in this album.
Koo Chang Mo debuted in 1978 after winning the Popularity Award for 'Clouds and Me' at the TBC Coast Song Festival. He later became the frontman of the group Songolmae, leaving behind hits such as 'I Will Love Everyone' and 'The Moment I Saw You First,' and after transitioning to a solo artist, recorded hits like 'Hinari,' 'Mature as Much as It Hurts,' and 'Open the Door.' In 2022, he reunited with Bae Chul-soo to resume Songolmae activities, and in January 2023, he appeared on the KBS 2TV Grand Project 'Songolmae Concert - Flight After 40 Years.'
