YOUNG POSSE releases its first mixtape 'young tape' on July 13, led by 'Mister 2026' and self-produced songs from trainee days.

To celebrate their 1,000th day since debut, the group YOUNG POSSE is presenting their first mixtape, 'young tape.' Scheduled for release on July 13 at 6 PM, this mixtape is the result of the members directly working on self-produced songs since their trainee days. The music captures the raw emotions and energy felt by the members, ranging from their teens to early 20s.
Since debuting on October 18, 2023, with their first mini-album 'MACARONI CHEESE,' YOUNG POSSE has established their hip-hop identity through tracks like 'XXL', 'ATE THAT', and 'FREESTYLE'. They have continued to expand their musical range by releasing the hip-hop ballad 'COLD (feat. 10CM)' and the digicore genre track 'we don't go to bed tonight'.
Title track 'Mister 2026' reinterprets Kara's 'Mister'
The title track of this mixtape is 'Mister 2026.' It is a reinterpretation of the hit song 'Mister' by Kara, the senior group under the same agency, performed in YOUNG POSSE's unique style. Inspired by the Chipmunk style utilized by American rapper Kanye West, the track is characterized by reconstructing the original song's chorus with a trendy sound.

Having had all members participate in song production since their debut, YOUNG POSSE showcases the musical capabilities they have built up through this mixtape.
Chung Sun-hye shared her thoughts through DSP Media, saying, "It's hard to believe it's already been 1,000 days, but I feel proud. It feels even more special to release a mixtape on this anniversary. We will become a more skilled YOUNG POSSE that always does its best, just as much as the 1,000 days we've spent."
They also did not forget to express gratitude toward their fandom, 'Telepathy.' Yeonjung said, "Thank you to Telepathy for always staying by our side without change," while JIANA shared, "I was happy to make many memories with our fans over the 1,000 days." DOEUN added, "Since the members completed this with all their heart, please give us lots of love," and Han Ji-eun promised to continue their journey with the fans, stating, "The reason we were able to reach 1,000 days is thanks to Telepathy, who always cheered for us by our side."
