Youth Chosen Over Long Hair: Kael's Transformation and Members' Musical Involvement

Boy group Lun8, now in their fourth year since debut, has returned after a long hiatus. Through their new mini-album 'Off the Grid,' released approximately 2 years and 4 months after their last activity, the members captured their unique colors, which they have been contemplating during a 10-month preparation period.

The most striking change in this comeback is their style. To maximize their youthful image, member Kael boldly cut off the long hair he had maintained for a long time. "I originally wanted to keep my hair long and worked hard to grow it, but I cut it all off to show this youthful side of myself," Kael shared regarding his feelings at the time.

Their musical involvement has also deepened. Park Goon, Ian, and Kuma directly participated in the choreography for the title track 'SNEAKERS.' Park Goon put his heads together with the members to create intuitive movements that anyone can easily follow, with the point choreography consisting of gestures pointing to or shaking off shoes. Jin-su explained that he worked to capture a refreshing feeling through the repetitive structure of the lyrics "SNEAKERS" in the chorus.

Strength Forged Through European Tour: "We Will Show Ourselves Enjoying the Stage"

The experience of completing their first overseas tour last year, traveling through five European cities including Warsaw, Berlin, Cologne, Madrid, and Amsterdam, served as the foundation for this album. "Traveling on tour changed the way we approach the stage," Jin-su said. "We realized that the energy we exchange with fans' support is different, so we prepared this album with the mindset of showing ourselves enjoying the stage from the very beginning."

Recalling the experience on the stage in Poland, Park Goon also mentioned how their stage proficiency increased as the tour progressed.

The members defined their own identity as 'white,' a color that can harmonize with any other. Takuma added, "Unlike our debut days when we only tried to show a cool image, showing our natural selves as they are is true growth."

Ian also shared his changed mindset, stating, "If we were preoccupied with just showing what we practiced during our debut, we now have the composure to communicate with fans."

Specific Goals Aiming for Year-End Stages and Award Ceremonies

Lun8 is moving toward specific goals through this promotion. Kael cited finishing second-half activities to stand on year-end stages and award ceremonies as his top priority, while Takuma aimed for a #1 win on music shows, and Ian set his sights on entering the digital music charts. Park Goon expressed a modest yet sincere wish: "It would be even better if our song played in a restaurant while we were eating."

As an extension of their activities, they also teased various collaboration plans. Jin-su revealed that they produced three versions of this challenge. Ian mentioned a collaboration with 'Let's Play in the Field,' and Kael expressed hope for collaborations with artists he has connections with, such as 'Spike War' and 'Manager Kim.' In particular, Kael shared his desire to do a challenge with the 'Manager Kim' trio: So Ji-sub, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Choi Dae-hoon.
