Hi-Fi Unicorn turns a KM Band Icon win into a Japan launchpad

Wins KM Band Icon at KM Chart Awards

Hi-Fi Unicorn was named the winner of the KM Band Icon category at KM Chart Awards 2026, held on the 25th at Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seongbuk District, Seoul. The band used its acceptance speech to thank both the staff members who support its work and the fans who have continued to stand behind the group.

“We believe this award belongs not only to us, but also to the company family members who always help and cheer us on, and above all to all of Rasido, who love us,” Hi-Fi Unicorn said. The group then promised, “We will keep working hard on our music so that we can become even a small light in your everyday lives.”

Raises the Energy on the Opening Stage

Hi-Fi Unicorn also took charge of the opening stage that launched the awards ceremony. The group began with a cover performance of DAY6’s “Can Be a Page,” then moved directly into “Teenage Blue (Korean ver),” a track it released in Korea last year.

Both songs highlighted the powerful sound and solid vocal line that define Hi-Fi Unicorn’s stage identity. On “Teenage Blue (Korean ver),” the lyrics, which carry a message of encouragement for youth, added a warm emotional tone to the performance. With relaxed stage manners, the members drew responses from the audience and quickly lifted the atmosphere inside the venue.

August Japan Single Release and Tour Confirmed

Hi-Fi Unicorn is currently expanding its activities between Korea and Japan. In Korea, the group is carrying out the monthly digital single project “H!dden Color,” through which it is releasing a new Korean-language song every month.

In June, Hi-Fi Unicorn wrapped up the finale of its Asia tour with the Seoul concert “FIRST MOVE.” Its Japan activities are continuing as well. The group will release the new single “Telescope” in Japan on August 19, and in September it is preparing a three-city tour under the title “Hi-Fi Un!corn 2026 LIVE HOUSE TOUR II ‘TELESCOPE.’” Hi-Fi Unicorn is also scheduled to appear at the 2026 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival and Japan’s “Lucky Fes ’26.”
