Global Cyber University Highlights K-Pop Training Tracks for Vocal and Dance Trainers
Global Cyber University's Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment is promoting practical K-pop training across vocal, dance, acting, planning and private certification courses. The BTS alma mater is accepting first-round applications for the second semester of the 2026 academic year through July 8.
The Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment at Global Cyber University has integrated vocal, dance, acting, and planning education into a single department for students preparing for K-pop and broadcasting fields. Global Cyber University, known as the school attended by members of BTS, is placing practical entertainment training at the forefront alongside its online degree programs.

Operating 3 Tracks: K-POP, Broadcasting & Entertainment, and Content Producer
The Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment operates around three main tracks: the K-POP track, the Broadcasting & Entertainment track, and the Content Producer track. The K-POP track is a course designed to prepare vocalists, singer-songwriters, vocal trainers, and music-related producers.
The Broadcasting & Entertainment track covers acting for theater, musicals, dramas, movies, and CF. The Content Producer track focuses on artist discovery, performances, and the planning of video and music content.
Idol activities are no longer limited to just singing and dancing. As the scope of activities expands to include short-form videos, fan-meetings, showcases, auditions, and communication with overseas fans, complex training has become necessary for both those who stand on stage and those who create the content.
Offering Private Certification Courses for Dance and Vocal Trainers
The certification courses promoted by the department are also noteworthy. The Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment provides guidance on private certification courses for dance trainers, K-pop dance fit trainers, and vocal trainers.
These three certifications are presented as registered private qualifications. The registration numbers are: Dance Trainer 2024-000336, K-pop Dance Fit Trainer 2024-001743, and Vocal Trainer 2024-000335.
While a single certification does not guarantee employment, as the K-pop education market expands, opportunities for trainers to work in academies, cultural centers, overseas workshops, and classes for fans are increasing. Within the degree program, students can learn singing and dancing while simultaneously preparing for teaching roles.
2026 Academic Year 2nd Semester Recruitment until July 8
The strength of a cyber university lies in its ability to reduce the burden of time and location. For those who find it difficult to match a fixed timetable, such as trainees, current industry professionals, or students living in rural areas, online classes can be a realistic option.
Global Cyber University is conducting its first round of recruitment for new and transfer students for the second semester of the 2026 academic year from June 1 to July 8. Broadcasting and entertainment education involves many areas that require direct feedback, such as dance, vocalization, breathing and reactions in front of the camera, so practical training, mentoring, industry-academic cooperation and audition links also need to work together.
The K-pop practical training promoted by the department combines vocal, dance, acting, planning and private certification courses within an online degree program. Along with its familiar name as BTS's alma mater, this recruitment also explains what kinds of training students preparing for the field can actually receive.
