Song Kang Plays Genius Pianist Kang Bio in tvN Drama Four Hands
Song Kang returns in tvN's new weekend drama Four Hands as Kang Bio, a 17-year-old piano prodigy driven by relentless practice and a hunger for his grandfather's approval. The 12-episode series premieres August 29 at 9:10 p.m.
Actor Song Kang transforms into Kang Bio, a genius pianist, in the new tvN weekend drama 'Four Hands.' Ahead of its premiere on August 29 at 9:10 PM, the production team released a teaser capturing Kang Bio's intense practice logs.

'Four Hands' (written by Shin Yi-won, directed by Park Hyun-suk) is a 12-episode drama set in an arts high school where only musical geniuses gather, portraying the process of young people with different emotional voids growing through music.
'Again' Even After 9 Hours and 30 Minutes of Practice
In the released images, Song Kang portrays Kang Bio, who is deeply immersed in music, even focusing on analyzing sheet music during breaks. In particular, the practice records he wrote himself draw attention. Despite sitting in front of the piano for 9 hours and 30 minutes, Kang Bio delivers a harsh self-evaluation.
A short memo stating, 'The cadenza is a mess. From the beginning, again,' directly reveals the character's personality of pushing himself toward perfection. Kang Bio is a model student who maintains top rankings in both academics and piano, and a pianist who was already recognized as a next-generation leader by domestic and international classical masters at the age of 17.
A Hunger Born From His Grandfather's Approval
The driving force behind Kang Bio is not the glamorous spotlight. The fact that he has never once received praise from his grandfather, a world-renowned conductor, is the deepest hunger running through his life. While he appears to be a complete genius to others, he remains perpetually unfinished in front of the one person he most wants recognition from.
That thirst becomes the power that allows him to endure more than 9 hours of practice and makes him shout 'again' to himself. Although he is already close to the pinnacle, to the point of being indifferent even when receiving awards, Kang Bio's daily life moves toward a better performance than yesterday and a perfect melody that can catch his grandfather's eye.
Arts High School Youths Meet Choi Jeong-yo
Kang Bio's world begins to crack with the appearance of transfer student Choi Jeong-yo (played by Lee Jun-young). Choi Jeong-yo is an overwhelming presence who surpasses everything Kang Bio has built up over a long time in an instant, and a figure who opens up a musical world that Kang Bio had not yet known.
The friendship, love, and fierce competition experienced by these two youths as they clash at the arts high school form the central storyline of 'Four Hands.' Led by Song Kang, Lee Jun-young, Jang Gyu-ri, and others appear to depict artistic passion and the growing pains of youth.
This work is also a moment of extraordinary change for Song Kang. Having completed his active duty service in the Army in October 2025, he takes off his military uniform and puts on a school uniform again to play the 17-year-old boy Kang Bio at the age of 32. How Kang Bio, burdened with musical agony, will change after meeting Choi Jeong-yo will be revealed for the first time on tvN on the night of August 29.
