The Husband episode 8 follows Namkoong Min and Lee Seol after the kidnapping case, as a silent car-side encounter exposes their widening rift.
The gazes of Namkoong Min and Lee Seol meeting through a side mirror
The KBS 2TV weekend mini-series 'The Husband' depicts the precarious relationship between Namkoong Min and Lee Seol, who are running on parallel lines following the kidnapping incident.

In episode 8, airing at 9:20 p.m. on the 26th, a 'side mirror gaze crossing' scene unfolds where Kang Tae-ju (played by Namkoong Min) and Ko Se-yoon (played by Lee Seol) are physically close but their psychological distance never narrows.
Kang Tae-ju remains in the driver's seat with his car parked in the alley in front of his in-laws' house and discovers his wife, Ko Se-yoon, coming out of the main gate. Even with each other right in front of them, the two cannot open the car door or approach. Kang Tae-ju watches his wife's figure through the side mirror, and Ko Se-yoon also checks her husband's car, appearing to take a step forward before stopping in her tracks. The silence that follows without any dialogue reveals the tension flowing between the two even after the conclusion of the kidnapping incident.
Kang Tae-ju points to father-in-law Ko Dong-chan as the mastermind
In the previous episode 7, Kang Tae-ju faced an urgent situation as he blocked his fellow doctor, Ha Jung-soo (played by Jeon Seung-bin). Ha Jung-soo is the individual who attempted to kill Kim Kyung-ae (played by Lee Sang-hee). After blocking Ha Jung-soo, Kang Tae-ju concluded the episode by pointing to his father-in-law, Ko Dong-chan (played by Jang Gwang), as the mastermind behind this incident.
The explosive anger of Kang Tae-ju, as he identifies Ko Dong-chan as the mastermind, is shaking the very foundation of the couple's relationship. Ko Se-yoon experiences psychological conflict between the situation where her husband suspects her family and the image of her husband who tried to protect her.
'The Husband,' directed by Kim Jung Hyun and Kim Min-tae and written by Jung Jae-ha, unfolds based on the acting synergy of actors including Namkoong Min, Kim Dae-myung, Lee Seol, and Lee Sang-hee. REDNINEOICTURES and KBS Media are in charge of production. Episode 8 will air on the 26th at 9:20 p.m.
