Kim Go-eun, Park Ji-hyun and Shin Hae-sun Vie for Best Actress at Blue Dragon Series Awards
The 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards announced its final nominees ahead of the July 31 ceremony in Incheon. Kim Go-eun and Park Ji-hyun are both nominated for the same Netflix series, while “Strawman” leads with six nominations.
The 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards has announced its final list of nominees. The ceremony recognizes series and performers that stood out over the past year among content released through domestic and international streaming platforms, with this year’s eligibility period covering dramas and entertainment programs released from June 1, 2025, through May 31, 2026.

The awards ceremony will take place on July 31 at 8:30 p.m. at Chroma inside Paradise City in Incheon. KBS 2TV will broadcast the event live. Nominees are selected by combining expert voting with online public voting, and this year’s expert voting participation rate reached an all-time high. The second round of online voting will be held on the official website from July 2 through July 30.
In the drama division, the Best Actress nominees are Go Youn-jung for “Can This Love Be Translated?,” Kim Go-eun for “You and Everything Else,” Park Bo-young for “Goldland,” Park Ji-hyun for “You and Everything Else,” and Shin Hye-sun for “Lady Dua.” The most notable matchup is between Kim Go-eun and Park Ji-hyun, who are competing from the same Netflix series, “You and Everything Else.”
“You and Everything Else” follows the lives of two friends, Eun-jung and Sang-yeon, whose lives have been intertwined across a lifetime. Kim Go-eun plays Eun-jung, portraying the character’s emotional arc from her 20s through her 40s. Park Ji-hyun plays Cheon Sang-yeon and depicts the character as a terminally ill patient in the latter part of the story. Appearing on tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” in May, Park said of the performance, “I thought about how I could get as close as possible to death, so I fasted,” and shared that she immersed herself in the role for about three weeks while consuming only water and coffee.
In the Best Actor category, Kim Seon-ho for “Can This Love Be Translated?,” Kim Woo-bin for “Genie, Make a Wish,” Park Ji-hoon for “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier,” Park Hae-soo for “Strawman,” and Hyun Bin for “Made in Korea” will compete. The Best Drama nominees are “Made in Korea” from Disney+, “Yumi’s Cells Season 3” from TVING, “You and Everything Else” from Netflix, “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” from TVING, and “Strawman” from Genie TV.
“Strawman” received the highest number of nominations, earning nods in six categories in total, including Best Drama, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best New Actor, and Best New Actress. “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” was nominated in four categories: Best Drama, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best New Actor. The Best Supporting Actor nominees are Yoon Kyung-ho for “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier,” Lee Kwang-soo for “Goldland,” Lee Sang-yi for “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier,” Jung Moon-sung for “Strawman,” and Jin Sun-kyu for “Aema.”
The entertainment division’s Best Variety Program nominees are “Doraiver,” “Born Single But Want to Date,” “Yoo Jae-suk Camp,” “Office Workers 2,” and “Culinary Class Wars: Black and White Chef Season 2.” The Best Male Entertainer nominees are Kim Won-hun, Shin Dong Yup, Yoo Jae-suk, Lee Kwang-soo, and Joo Woo-jae. The Best Female Entertainer nominees are Kim Sook, Lee Su-ji, Lee Eun-ji, Jung Yi-rang, and Ji Ye-eun.
