"That wasn't my intention." Lee Eun-ji's hosting skills turn misunderstandings into heart-fluttering moments on 'Single Again Season 2.'

Lee Eun-ji shines as a 'Some Maker' in Netflix's 'Single's Inferno 2' (Solo Love 2)

Netflix variety show 'Single Again Season 2' (hereafter 'Single Again 2') kicked off on the 7th with the release of episodes 1–4. This season captures the first dating challenges of lifelong singles who may lack experience but possess burning passion. The show portrays participants who struggle to even make eye contact in the face of unfamiliar emotions or feel fluttery over even the smallest connections.

'Some Maker' Lee Eun-ji smooths over awkward moments by explaining context

In this process, Lee Eun-ji's role as the 'Some Maker' stands out. Moving beyond simple reactions meant to induce laughter, she identifies the underlying context behind the participants' clumsy actions.

When a male participant brought props hinting at his profession to participate in a mission, Lee Eun-ji immediately clarified the situation, noting, "I didn't know the profession would be revealed before choosing the belongings."

For a female participant who chose an item with a specific person in mind but saw the result go awry, Lee Eun-ji helped viewers understand by offering a new perspective: from the other person's point of view, the desired date had actually been successfully arranged.

Lee Eun-ji's quick wit was on full display during moments that could have spiraled into emotional conflicts or misunderstandings. When a male participant used a trot singer as a metaphor after a confession that he had neglected dating due to his devotion to an idol fan, an older female participant expressed discomfort, creating a sudden tension. At that moment, Lee Eun-ji stepped in to settle the situation, clarifying the original intent by stating, "That wasn't the intention, but using that example might cause a misunderstanding."

Handling unpredictable behavior playfully, she praises the tight production: "The crew did a great job"

The participants of 'Single Again 2' continued their unpredictable behavior. The plot moves tensely as participants catch the 'Some Makers' off guard by honestly confessing interest in someone other than their date, or as the 'Catfish' participants introduced early on shake up existing love lines.

Rather than criticizing these sudden actions, Lee Eun-ji focused on reinterpreting them through an affectionate lens.

When a male participant, attempting to win the heart of an older woman, said "I like older women" contrary to his true feelings, Lee Eun-ji playfully responded to the unique aggressiveness of the lifelong singles, saying, "I should say 'well done,' but we were all caught off guard."

Even for a participant who risked being perceived unfavorably due to frequent slips of the tongue, she advocated for them, suggesting, "It seems they should ask for understanding, saying they didn't mean it that way but are just nervous before the date."

Regarding a female participant hiding a secret gift received through the 'Single Post Office,' Lee Eun-ji pinpointed her psychological state, noting, "It seems she decided to hide it for now because she doesn't know who gave it to her."

Lee Eun-ji also commented on the program's tightened structure. Regarding the rapid succession of dates and missions, she joked, "The kids are so busy they might get mouth ulcers," while praising the upgraded composition by saying, "The curriculum is tight and good. The production crew did a great job."

'Single Again 2' consists of 10 episodes in total. Episodes 5–6 will be released today (the 14th). Episodes 7–8 will follow on the 21st, and episodes 9–10 will be released on the 28th.
