Jung Da-bin Transforms From 'Ice Cream Girl' Into Desire-Driven Woo Hyo-eun in Lady Dua
Jung Da-bin plays Woo Hyo-eun in Netflix's Lady Dua, a former Budua employee driven by wealth and luxury. The role reunites her with Extracurricular director Kim Jin-min six years later.
Actor Jung Da-bin shows a new face in the Netflix series Lady Dua, taking on the role of Woo Hyo-eun, a character whose desire for wealth and luxury goods places her at the center of the drama’s tension.

Jung Da-bin, 25, first became known to the public as the “Ice Cream Girl” after appearing in a Baskin-Robbins advertisement when she was three years old. Through Lady Dua, released on February 13, 2026, she presents a broader acting range than before. The series follows Sarah Kim, played by Shin Hye-sun, a woman consumed by desire for luxury goods, and Mu-gyeong, played by Lee Jun-hyuk, who tracks her.
Woo Hyo-eun, the character Jung plays, is a former employee of Budua and a figure with an intense appetite for wealth and high-end products. After being recruited by Sarah Kim, Hyo-eun goes through a series of incidents that transform her relationship with Sarah into an antagonistic one, raising the tension between the two women.
Hyo-eun’s personality further sharpens that tension. She places great importance on how others see her and divides customers by rank based on their outward appearance. Jung Da-bin uses Hyo-eun’s blunt profanity and her relationship with Da-hye, played by Yoon Ga-i, while carefully portraying the psychology of a person who wavers in front of power.
In the trailer, Woo Hyo-eun’s ambiguous position is captured through the line, “What I know about that woman is this. I know absolutely nothing.” The dialogue points to how uncertain Hyo-eun’s place is within Sarah Kim’s orbit and within the larger conflict of the series.
Lady Dua also marks Jung Da-bin’s reunion with director Kim Jin-min six years after the Netflix series Extracurricular. Moving beyond the image attached to her childhood, Jung has continued to show a different side of herself in each project, building her filmography across multiple genres through Netflix’s Extracurricular and Glitch, the drama Live On, and the U+ original High Cookie.
The reunion with Kim Jin-min gives Lady Dua another point of attention in Jung’s career. She signed an exclusive contract with Fantagio on December 2, 2025 and has been continuing her activities in earnest since then.
Jung Da-bin has also been communicating with fans through her personal social media, sharing everyday photos taken against the backdrop of the sea. In photos posted on June 24, she paired a slim T-shirt with bottoms, giving off a relaxed mood with naturally long straight hair and a smile.
In other photos using sunglasses and a hat, Jung drew attention from fans by showing a more mature atmosphere that contrasted with the cute image she had previously been known for.
